Aurel Schmidt is AMAZING, not only is she super cool but she also makes good art. I'm not a great fan of intricate drawings and paintings as I'm a sculptor at heart but Aurel's work is exceptional. It's ugly art, detailed drawings made up of cigarette butts, tampons, maggots, generally all things nasty. But they are so beautiful in their own way.
She's also just created a line for Opening Ceremony, which consists of illustrated t-shirts. what a cool lady.
